Strategic Plan for Proactive Health Care Center

The paper is a plan of Proactive Health Care Center which was developed when there emerged a sentinel event of delayed treatment which is contrary to National Patient Safety Goal. The plan focuses on strategies to overcome such issues from reoccurring and dealing with the impact that can be created by the external environment. It has outlined various aspects in strategic management that will be used to deal with the problem.

In Proactive Health care Center, a pertinent issue that relates to National Patient Safety goals has occurred. Investigations have shown that the issue relates to delayed treatment that has left the life of a patient on a balance. Proactive Health Care Center adopts service line strategies that will cruise this health care center to heights of being a more competitive, cost effective and profitable venture. The management has therefore been tasked with a challenge that demands providing and presenting an innovative solution. The solution will embark on steps to be undertaken so as to prevent from reoccurring and creating a culture of safety for the organization. The comprehensive plan shall focus on all the aspects of health care which are strategic planning, human capital management, organization development and design. Issues that impact this health care center shall also be looked into.

Strategic Planning
In this century, health care has been transformed and our strategic plan strikes a balance between having an articulated vision and direction for the future and the flexibility to adapt in these transformations. It is with the adaptation aspect that we shall inculcate personalized services to our customers. This shall be in line with our vision, mission and core values of offering distinguished health services to the satisfaction of our clients in order to make the world a better place to live in (Health Strategies and Solutions, Inc., 2009).

In our strategic plan, service to our customers to a satisfaction level comes first. It is with this in mind that our plan shall look at how fast and effective service delivery shall be incorporated into our organization. According to Begun  Kaisi (2005), strategies have to be written down and well communicated to all the personnel in the organization. Strategic plans should be reviewed continuously and integrated to other organizational goals. Physicians and the governing board will have to be included and will thus be imperative for Proactive Health Care Center, to have an established communication system. The system shall be used to communicate the strategic plans to every person in the organization structure. The management shall also be willing to listen and take immediate steps to deal with any problem or challenge faced by any personnel in the organization. In general, strategic planning increases the likelihood that the organizations structure, culture and strategy will fit within the evolving environment.

Human Capital Management
Proactive Health Care Center understands that Human Capital is one of the biggest challenges which stare at the medical institutions. Resources to recruit, develop, train and retain the staff are scarce. A human capital management strategy has to be developed that will look at every stage of talent life cycle, from strategy to execution of the same. The organization has a policy of employing competent and highly skilled personnel and this plan will embark on ways of developing them and retaining the scarce skills throughout the organization (Human Capital Institute, 2010).

The HR Department will have to undergo training on the latest trends, technologies, and solutions related to human resources management. This will help the organization to take advantage of the prevailing technology, with the right kind of personnel behind it. Timely and quality services will thus be provided, which shall be beyond the customers expectations. The strategy will also help the organization make accommodation for older workers and create an environment that shall be conducive for nurturing caregivers and for providing job satisfaction to all the workers. Proactive will thus have to review its budget in order to accommodate these new strategies which are consistent with our goals and visions of the organization (Human Capital Institute, 2010).

A reward system shall also be put in place where special efforts done by any staff shall be recognized. Thank you notes and job well done appreciation mails shall be given to outstanding performers in respective fields. Our attention shall be directed to the customer and serving the customer to his her satisfaction will be our standards for measuring performance. This will see to it that every patient that attends our Health Care Centre shall receive more than expected which shall be effective in attracting and retaining clients.

Organization Design
Organization design as described by Mind Tools Ltd (2010) is the process of aligning an organizations structure with its mission. The organization had a tall structure with high level of bureaucracy. This structure shall be reviewed to accommodate a more interactive structure. A hybrid network structure shall be effective in our new strategy. This will mean that the top executives shall be easily accessed by every one in the organization. Complex relationship in tasks, roles and responsibilities shall be looked at, to make sure that they support the objectives of the organization.

The organization design shall help in enhancing communication, increase productivity, and support innovation. The design shall be effective in integrating a mix of great mission, great people, great leadership and new technology. The end result shall be an enhanced communication and information flow among people, individual responsibility and decision making, that brings an end product of an integrated system of people and resources with common goals and objectives (Autry, R.H., 1996).

Issues to Impact Proactive Health Care Center
We shall look at the external environment where there exist issues that affect the operation of the organization but the organization does not have control over them. The political legal environment is one of it. The organization shall be flexible enough so as to survive when changes in this environment affect the organization. Changes would include new legislations on tax issues, Health Care Regulations and others. The organization has to be flexible enough so as to comply with emerging issues from this external environment (Oxford University Press, 2007).

According to Oxford University Press (2007), social factors do have an impact in organizations. The social setting of the organization should be considered in putting strategies and policies in place. Proactive is situated in ultra modern society that experiences multi-changes in technology, lifestyle among others. The organization therefore needs to be updated in form of technology and any changes in likes and dislikes of the potential clients. It will enable the health care center to thrive well in this environment.

It will also be consistent to the new strategy in Proactive, where it shall operate with a soft hand to the environment. Green issues shall be looked upon by adopting disposal mechanisms that have been approved by the health industry. The organization shall also incorporate social responsibility by offering free testing for malaria disease in the environs.

Conclusion
The plan shall be effective when each member of Proactive embrace it. It will prevent any other instance of delayed treatment and the whole organization shall be geared towards use of ethics and professionalism in delivering quality services to clients. The organization shall also comply with all measures set by the legal administration while providing its services.
