Ethics

Summarizing chapter 1 of Zinns book, it can be seen that it seeks to explore the exploits of Columbus into the new world. In particular, it considers the patterns of interaction between natives and the explorers. This was then showcased in a descriptive analysis based on their color and distinct cultural process. Similarly, this can also be seen in the second chapter as determines the perspective of how slavery developed and become institutionalized among Europeans. It provides readers with the capacity to analyze different perspectives shaping such creation. Lastly, the third chapter then looks into the exploration into the New World. It looked at the establishment of relations and interaction of colonists with local Indians. Such capacity then provides a good historical background of how it evolved and developed through time.

Relating all these chapters together, it can be argued that the big picture illustrates the dynamics of interaction between different ethnicities. It coincides with the creation of relationships that paved the way for the clash of ideas and culture. These then resulted to the development of slavery and domination among Europeans. Here, Zinn provides that the creation of history coincides with the ability of man to record such interactions and provide description about these scenarios.

Seeing this, the chapters then address this interaction in an evolutionary way. From a cordial and discrete formation of relationships, it transcended towards the development of culture and norms. These ideas in turn justified not only positive components such as interaction and religious expansion but also illustrated the degree that subjugation, racism, and domination became prevalent in each of these chapters.

Analyzing the chapters, it can be argued that they are all related because of their ability to showcase the transformation of ideas surrounding ethnicity. It coincides with the interaction, classification and division of similarities and differences. These scenarios then provided the capacity to utilize these to the creation of a new culture, norms, and values  such shaped the process of American history and became the building blocks in constructing reality.
