Compare the ethical perceptions across cultures in regards to the ethical situation

In the example, ethical dilemma that deals with global business to trust  or  not to trust consumer dilemma with e-banking leads  to a comparisons in the  ethical perceptions across cultures in regard to ethical situation. The advancement in technology in the recent years has led to development of e-commerce and e-banking. E-banking has changed the traditional way of banking and the way consumers transact their banking activities.

Online banking has led to a change of culture in banking industry and is considered as one of the main avenue used by banks to deliver their products and services to customers.  Different people have come up with their own culture in relation to e-banking which can be compared with ethical situation in advancement in information technology. A dilemma arises in this concept whereby customers are confused whether to go for e-banking or to use traditional banking methods. Ethical perception in regard to e-banking is one specific area that creates dilemma from the customers point of view. Ethically, e-banking is considered to have benefits both to banks and customers. One major benefit about e-banking from banks perspective is that it enables banks to cut down operational costs.
Use of online banking leads to reduction in staff resources necessary for purpose of executing duties and this helps to cut down costs. Another benefit of e-banking is establishment of networking that result to a larger global market reach. The benefits of e-banking from the perspective of banks can be compared with the ethical situation in the aspect of globalization and reduction of unnecessary benefits. Customers on their side have their own perceptions about e-banking in that it allows customers to carry on their transactions electronically. E-banking is a major benefit in that it cuts down costs of transport because customers can carry on their transactions anywhere and at anytime of the day.

Another benefit that can be compared with ethical situation from the customers perspective is confinement to the opening hours of banks. Customers work from their place of residence and thus they do not need to travel for longer distances and this helps to safe on costs. Ethically, the benefits of e-banking are similar to customers perceptions in relation to access of banking services as a result of development in information technology.

Individuals from different cultures have ethical perceptions in regard to ethical situation of e-banking in the aspect of problems associated with online banking. A major problem of e-banking is the wide gap in respect to internet use. Users of internet are differentiated by the age factor and fear of computer crimes such as hacking. The limitations associated with e-banking from the ethical point of view are similar to those as are perceived by customers from different cultures. However, some discrepancies occur as a result of perceptions across cultures.

Online banking is subject to hacking of information and this has led to lack of trust by customers and other users of e-banking service. Ethically, it is not right for an individual to access information of other users without their consent. Building of a strong trust among customers in relation to online banking is one major challenge that exists between ethical perceptions across cultures in regard to ethical situation. Customers perception of risk effects customers trust and the willingness to use online banking.
